Founded in 1927, Harleston Players provides the opportunity for anyone to become involved in drama. We develop performance and production skills through a great variety of projects and promote the forming of partnerships with other organisations which encourages new approaches, new art and open access.
We typically produce three shows a year at Archbishop Sancroft High School, Harleston - drama, comedy and musicals, and even outside touring productions of Shakespeare, or similar.
We have a reputation for taking on a challenge and our interest in developing new skills has led us to employ various professional directors.
Our rehearsals, which include specific workshops when necessary, are held Monday and Thursday evenings, usually from 7.30pm. We rehearse 10 to 12 weeks for a production with Sunday rehearsals immediately prior to the show.
Auditions for each show are advertised on this website, so check back regularly for the latest news. To take part in a show you have to be a Friend of Harleston Players and, if you are an actor, we also charge a production fee.
We welcome anybody who would like to come and join us. Whether you are an actor, or you would like to help backstage or Front of House, please get in touch!
