Our first press photo shoot

A first run through for the actors on 7th April
focussed the mind somewhat. Two months
exactly until our first night and lots of lines to
learn!!

On 1st April we had our second costume
workshop at the High School. We had an
excellent turn out, including some newcomers
attracted by recent press releases.

We have a healthy mixture of new faces and
old timers in our cast line up - a cast of
31 in all, with 55 costumes to be completed!!

11th March 2006 - Below are pictures taken at our recent Costume Workshop
in the Textile Rooms at Archbishop Sancroft High School with Andrea
and helpers Katy, Gill, Margaret, Sylvia, Jan and Pat.

Auditions were held in February and rehearsals have now begun, with over
30 local people having been cast in the many roles! There's a real wealth of
talent and much use for it. King Henry, Prince Edward and the Fair Maid of
Fressingfield may seem like challenge enough but what about those cast as the Devil,
Hercules or even the dragon - a real opportunity for some exciting interpretation?!

We have had lots of offers of help with costumes and now have nearly 20 people
round the area cutting and sewing a costume or article of clothing at home. We had
our first Saturday workshop on March 11th. Thanks to Archbishop Sancroft High
School for the use of their textile room. It's even more fun when we are all working
together! We are still looking for more volunteers to lighten the load as there are
50 costumes and lots of accessories to make.

We have also had our first set painters' meeting and painting should start at the
beginning of April. The set design is amazing and should take two or three
weekends to complete. Once again, more volunteers would be very welcome.
