Spring 2016
By Ron Hutchison
Directed by Joe Edwards

Auditions for our spring production, Moonlight and Magnolias by Ron Hutchison, will be taking place at 7.30pm on 2nd and 9th of December at Archbishop Sancroft High School, Harleston. The play is set in Hollywood in 1939. Film producer David O. Selznick has just five days to produce a script for the most eagerly anticipated movie in history - Gone With The Wind. Engaging the reluctant services of ace script doctor Ben Hecht - possibly the only person in America who has not read the novel - and the movie's new director Victor Fleming, and with nothing but a stockpile of peanuts and bananas to sustain them, Selznick locks himself in his office with his two collaborators, and a marathon creative session begins.

Directed by Joe Edwards (who played Blackadder in our recent production), Moonlight and Magnolias has roles for three men and one woman; American accents and frenetic energy will be required! For more information, contact David Cumming on 01986 788439 or through the contact page.
