Harleston Players

Our autumn production is the long-awaited sequel to ‘Allo ‘Allo. Based on the hugely popular TV comedy series, this sequel continues the adventures of reluctant resistance hero and harassed café owner Rene Artois, in German-occupied wartime France.

General Von Klinkerhoffen demands a fortune in francs in recompense for the loss of the infamous painting of ‘The Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies’ and Rene is expected to come up with the cash.

But nothing is ever easy! The cash, a set of forged notes and a bomb all end up hidden in identical camembert cheeses. What could possibly go wrong?

We will be holding auditions on Sunday 31^st May 2pm to 4pm and Wednesday 3^rd June 8pm to 10pm at Jay’s Green Community Centre. Harleston.

Although many of the original cast are returning, we are still looking for several characters:

• Monsieur Alphonse – elderly but wealthy funeral director
• Madam Fanny La Fan – the bed-ridden, elderly mother of Edith
• Yvette Carte-Blanche – a waitress
• Mimi Labonq – another (shorter) waitress
• Colonel Von Strohm – Commandant of the town of Nouvien
• Captain Geering – aide to the Colonel
• Flight Lieutenant Fairfax – a British airman requiring repatriation
• Flight Lieutenant Carstairs – a second British airman
• Various supporting ensemble playing German soldiers, members of the resistance and assorted French peasants.

Performances will be from 23^rd, 24^th, 29^th, 30^th and 31^st October.
