The play, adapted from the Jules Verne book by local playwright Eileen Ryan, tells the story of Phileas Fogg and his crazy bet to travel around the world in 80 days. Accompanied by his hot-blooded French manservant, Fogg must overcome storms, kidnapping, natural disasters, Sioux attacks and Inspector Fix of Scotland Yard, to win his extraordinary wager. "This will be fast paced and exciting," says director David Cumming, "girdling the world, crossing continents, travelling by train, steamship, sailing boat, sledge and even elephant."
