Adapted from Wind in the Willows in 1929 by A.A. Milne, Toad of Toad Hall was an instant hit. It became a staple
Christmas production in the West End, put on annually for much of the 1930s through to the 1970s.
Many adaptations followed, but the charm of this first script has never really been surpassed. Aside from the famous four central characters, it has a kaleidoscope of colourful roles, both human and animal, and a delightful musical score with simple songs for all.
