Our Autumn production will be Bottom's Dream, an excerpt from Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' in which a group of Athenian artisans put on a play for the Duke's wedding. During rehearsals Bottom, the weaver, is magically transformed into a donkey with whom the fairy queen Titania, under a spell, falls madly in love.
Much confusion ensues but they eventually get to perform their play...hilariously badly. There's magic, mayhem and misadventure. This production will be directed by the very experienced actor Tony Winn.
The audition will be on Tuesday 10th September at 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Jay's Green Community Centre. Rehearsals will then be every Tuesday after at the same time and on Thursdays from 6pm to 7.15pm. Performance dates are Friday 15th November and Saturday 16th November.
